Level-up With ClubHouse: 4 Tips to get you started.

There's a new app in town that dropped a month or two ago. Finally, I've gotten round to using it and I must say I'm liking it a lot already.

So what exactly is clubhouse? For those who don't know its an audio-only chat platform that's invite-only & available for iPhone users.

How it works is that once you receive an invitation from a ClubHouse user, you set up a profile, then select topics of interest where you'll get access to various chat rooms where real-time conversations are being held.

The chatrooms are managed by the room owner( creator of conversation) who appoints a moderator to guide the discussion.

So if your keen on up-levelling your networks then here are 4 tips to help you with setting up your Account.

1.Have a goal for joining Clubhouse.

With so many apps to choose from, you have to be intentional about where you spend your time. Clubhouse is no different. Be clear about what your goal is for joining the platform.

Is it to land more high ticket clients, get more followers for your social sites, build more networks, or are you there simply there to connect & engage with new people? Whatever it is, get clear.

2.Set up a Killer ClubHouse Bio.

Clubhouse isn't as formal as Linkedin, or as casual as Instagram. But having a well crafted Bio is key to showcasing who exactly you are and attracting the right audience.

Unlike any other social media site using Emojis on your, Bio has an impact on the algorithm therefore suggesting other similar rooms you may be interested in. E.g if you're an author and have a book icon on your Bio you'll start getting suggestions for book-related rooms to follow.

Your first 3 sentences in your Bio should be powerful enough to draw interest. Get into detail about who you are, what value you provide and what kind of connections you're looking for.

Don't exaggerate like you help grow company revenue by 1000%, but show evidence of your work to show that you're the real deal!

3. Be Active

Engage. Engage. Engage. This may sound like a no brainer but if you sit quietly in the chat rooms how else will you people know you? Unless you're looking to spend hours listening to others talking, its best to speak up and add value to the conversations.

Because this is an audio chat platform, it's best to have your 30-sec elevator pitch ready. This helps with when it comes to introducing yourself, explaining what you do and how you serve others. This helps with positioning yourself well.

4. Have a way of connecting with others afterwards

Once you've contributed to the chat room conversation, have a clear call to action that will make others connect with you off the platform. One way the site helps is there're options of linking social media sites and websites. I'd recommend you pick one site to drive people to. Directing people to 2 sites is confusing, so pick one and stick to it.

I'm enjoying the app a lot. The only word of caution is this is one of those apps, where if you're not careful, you can spend hours on end chatting & talking.

Hopefully, these 4 easy tips will make it easy for you to to get you started.
