I remember one Saturday night, I must have been 7 years old, my mother asking me what I wanted to be.
I loudly told her " Air hostess.
She was absolutely shocked.
I'm not sure whether it was because of fact that I was the chubbiest 7-year-old girl so she couldn't tell me that air hostesses were perfectly shaped, model sized women😊 or the fact that I wanted to spend half my life in the air- she's terrified of flights by the way.
Funny thing is, I now realize that I didn't necessarily want to be an air hostess.
What I wanted was what that life represented to me.
Glamour, beauty & sophistication, because truth be told, air hostesses are gorgeous women.
When you think back to when you were a little girl, you were naturally bold, fearless, and willful.
You wanted your birthday cake how you wanted it, you demanded pink glittery clothes or whatever color you were obsessed with, you wanted your pigtails in a certain way.
What happened to that unapologetic little girl?
She grew up!
She was told not to be too demanding, too assertive, and to always stay in her lane as all good sweet girls do.
