Dear Social Justice Warrior, Use Feminine Self Expression.

I've been following the recent happenings that been going on within the African-American community. All the pain that's coming forth from the unfortunate recent murders and #blacklivesmatter protests.

Two weeks have gone by and its been rallies upon rallies. I've seen how women have taken part, some tagging their children along and others expectant.

As a feminine muse, I feel compelled to pen my thoughts and speak to my fellow melanated queens, so as to put a few things into perspective.

You are a nurturer

First and foremost, we are the feminine energy. As women, we've been endowed by our creator to shield, birth and bring forth the future generations of this earth.

When a woman, let alone a pregnant one leaves the safe confines of her home and goes out to wage war in the streets, being teargassed, beaten and even maimed, she endangering herself and the innocent bundle of joy she's carrying.

Safety and security remain a feminine woman's primary need, even if some may not admit it, it's in our nature to look up to the masculine for protection.

Leave the children at home

When you take your little children to the riots, you expose them to the dangers of this world, way before their time.

The impact of all the violence they witness can be severe, leading them to physical, mental and emotional scars. This can wound them for life.

Remember, these are still little children, they don't yet have the capacity to process any of the happenings. They expect you as a parent, especially mothers to care and guard them until they are fully grown.

The Masculine is the protective force

Men are meant to play the protector role. This is their inbuilt conditioning right from the hunter and gatherer times when they used to leave their "homes" to go gather the spoils to feed their families, who stayed back in the safe environment.

That's the primary reason why they're built with physical dominance and brute strength; to shield their women and children.

Leave the fighting to it to the men, they are more than capable of fighting for their own rights.

Feminine Self-expression

I understand that you feel strongly about a certain course. That's fine because it may, after all, be your life's calling.

There are however feminine ways of creative expression that you can tap into to channel your pent up anger, and frustrations.

Instead of putting on your combat boots and tear gas mask, try to process your feelings and further your course in a creative feminine way.

Art is a powerful form of healing. It's a safe outlet and can help you get through your darkest moments.

Try feminine activities such; poetry; writing; music, pottery, photography and dance.

When you explore your creative side of you, you'll be amazed at the gifts that you have, you could even go on to produce some glorious piece of work.

Now that's a feminine way of positively impacting the world in a way that's both soft, strong, at the same time.
